Re-imagining Hollywood & Highland
Welcome to Hollywood.
DJM led the transformation that saw an outdated mall re-emerge as an entertainment center, focused on community-building and reflecting what the future of Hollywood can be.
Hollywood & Highland, the intersection home to the Academy Awards, TCL Chinese Theatre, and Hollywood Walk of Fame was in desperate need of a re-design. The transformation of Hollywood & Highland into Ovation Hollywood spanned roughly three years as the team reimagined what the center of Hollywood could become. After nearly an $80 Million renovation, touching every surface, re-branding, and updated merchandising, Ovation Hollywood now stands as beacon and gathering place for locals and tourists alike.
Along with environmental design and re-branding, DJM re-merchandised the project, bringing new life that focused on entertainment and F&B. Along with merchandising, DJM and team put together an extensive calendar of events, activations, and community driven initiatives that brought foot traffic, sponsorships, red carpets, and pop-ups.

A HISTORIC HOLLYWOOD LANDMARK
The Hollywood Hotel stood at the intersection of Hollywood and Highland for the first half of the twentieth century. Over the years, the site has been redeveloped to accommodate a variety of attractions. In 2001, Hollywood & Highland opened as a large-scale retail destination with entertainment amenities. The destination was popular for visitors, but over time became outdated and less attractive. Now, the destination is being revitalized once again, still with retail and entertainment in mind. Ovation Hollywood is set to become the premier Hollywood spot for both tourists and locals, with a modernized and design-forward aesthetic.
